We've been stressing out about many things over the past few weeks; however, our biggest concern was getting our documents sent off for the renewal of mine and Joshua's passports and then getting the kids registered for their first passports.
Due to COVID-19 closures many passport services were suspended around March 15th through June 2. We have been closely monitoring the passport websites so we could know when their passport services would resume and we could get our needed forms submitted.
Monday we checked and the website stated that some facilities were opening up their passport services again. We decided to try our luck and call a local Post Office to see if they would allow us to schedule an appointment as soon as possible.
One of our biggest set backs when we were try to get to Bulgaria some nine years ago was getting our passports and VISAs. Both of these documents just take so long to get back, so we knew that was one of the FIRST things we would do this time around!
We arrived at the Post Office today at 1:00pm for our appointment. The workers were so friendly and SUPER accommodating to all four of us taking up so much room in the lobby. We all had to have our photos taken, we had to sign all of our forms, write 3 too many checks and finally submitted our documents to be mailed off.
The Lord truly answered our prayers today! We are so thankful that we were able to get in this week and that we had all of the documents we needed. I don't doubt that this was in some part to all of you who have already been praying for us and for that I say, THANK YOU!
As we continue on our journey to Sofia, here are a few things you can be praying for:
Passports/VISAs: That the passports will take just the 8 weeks and we can have our VISA items ready to submit when the passports arrive.
Selling our belongings: We are in the process of preparing our home to sell. We will also be selling all of our belongings. Please help us pray that we can get everything sold/packed up/ and ready for storage without much stress. (if you are interested in purchasing some home items message me and I'll add you to my Household Items for Sale facebook group!)
Deputation Services: We are so excited to already have 9 services scheduled for the months of August and September! Help us pray now for the service that will take place in the coming months!
